Once upon a time, along time ago, we got lost in the woods
Strayed a little further than a sensible someone else should
Wasn't looking for trouble , wasn't looking for gold,
i knew it wasn't looking too good.
I lost my compass, I lost my northern star.
Now I'm talking with my best friend, she's right in front of me,
says I don't know where you are

I was walking through the wasteland as a child,
I remember well stepping on rusty nail,
Pop up through my shoe, i was with my father and I cried.
I was young enough for that to be alright,
Old enough to feel like a fool.
She says some times I feel like that, i feel like that now too.

I'll be there if i have to swim.

I know sometimes you feel like the girl at the bottom of the well.

In the overstretched city with it's head stuck in the clouds.
Where all the king's horses and all the king's mena
Are far too busy helping somebody else
Yeah you can fix it, but your going to have to stick it, stick it back together yourself
When your backs against the wall, it's hard to stand tall and raise your voice and sing
